Welcome to the World Famous Palomino Club

This is the very first post for the World Famous Palomino Club. This project should have been started many years ago, however, as the son of Tommy Thomas my ambitions have put this project on the back burner for too long. This first post is dedicated to my dad Tommy Thomas. As a little boy growing up in the Palomino, I have always wanted to be like him. When both my parents asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, my answer was always “A country western nightclub owner.” This ambition became 50% accurate in that I ended up building my own business with my beautiful wife, Jennifer. Our business, however, centers around healthy living, juice, and smoothies which is a far contrast from the Palomino Club. My dad partly inspired everything that I am. The desire to make people happy, work hard, and build a successful brand.

The picture above is from the early days of the Palomino when Tommy Thomas would tend bar in addition to running the day to day business. Little did he know at that time how incredibly successful the Palomino would become.

  1. As a former employee of the Palomino, I am glad to see you doing this. I remember you and your brother playing at the club. Best of luck!

    1. Dan,

Thanks for the support. My goal is to tell his story about how two brothers moved west and built a dream amongst severe adversity. How did you know Tommy?

      1. Hi,
In 1985 I answered an ad in the paper for a job as a doorman. Believe it or not, I had never heard of the Palomino Club before then. I found out later that my parents went there when my mother was pregnant with me in 1955.
Your dad interviewed me and hired me that day. I had been a USAF Security Police Officer so I guess I was qualified. Your dad ran a tight ship and I learned a lot from him. I met people who became lifelong friends and I look back on those days with great memories and unbelievable experiences. My Palomino jacket is at the Valley Relics museum along with all the other Palomino treasures. I will always remember that dusty old building with a smile on my face.
